Programs to be selected will be consistent with the mission of Decorah Community Schools (DCS), and will have the highest educational merit. Groups and individuals with intentions of using space in the Decorah Community Education and Arts Center would offer educational programming consistent with the following goals: |
| • To support and supplement existing curricula of DCS including: History Learning Center; Energy Center; Environmental Science Center; Art Classes offered during and after school; the Schoolyard Garden Project. • To enhance or expand the options that are offered by formally constituted educational organizations, including Northeast Iowa Community College; Vesterheim Norwegian American Museum; Decorah Montessori School; Toys Go’Round; Decorah Public Library and Genealogy Center; Decorah Parks and Recreation. • To provide classroom and meeting space for community organizations; adult education programs; ESL classes. |
